Adult Partnerships

Troop 1511 for Girls is grateful to our chartered organization Palmer Memorial Episcopal Church and its Rector the Reverand Neil Willard for their enthusiastic and unwavering support of scouting. Our Troop Chartered Organization Representative the Reverand John Price is an Eagle Scout and involved Scouter with both the Troop for Girls and Troop for Boys at Palmer.

Both Troop 1511 & Troop 511 share the same committee. The committee's primary responsibility is supporting troop leaders in delivering quality program and handling troop administration. The troop committee is responsible for conducting the business of the troop, setting policy, and helping the Scoutmaster and Scouts with the outdoor program and other planned activities. The committee also has the responsibility to provide adults for boards of review. This is an important responsibility and is one area where help is always needed and appreciated. The committee consists of parent volunteers or other adults who fulfill various roles on the committee.

Adult Scouters in Troop 1511 help guide and teach the scouts of the troop. The Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmasters, along with Merit Badge Counselors and other instructors coordinate and work with youth leadership to provide learning opportunities and various experiences to the troop at meetings and other events.
