Start Scouting (Apply Online Now)

Want to get started scouting right away? There's no need to wait. Join us for a meeting on Tuesdays during the school year at Palmer Memorial Episcopal Church in Houston, Texas! Both the Troop for Boys and the Troop for Girls meet at 6:30 pm on the 2nd floor. Troops are single gender and share the location with separate meeting rooms.

If you can't make a meeting yet but still want to start scouting, here are some ways to get a head start.

2. Browse the BSA website
3. Learn about scouting
   
4. Memorize the Scout Oath, Law, Slogan, and Motto
   
5. Learn knots like the square knot and taut-line hitch and how they are used
6. Go camping if possible
